Time to start…
Welcome to my second blogging experience. I have used blogging before in some of my courses, but this time, I am going to work on “working” my own blog.
I’m convinced that using blogs is useful in my courses as well as for educatators in general. But you know it’s the same old story about being too busy…hard to find the time…etc, etc, etc. So, I’ve decided to stop listening to those excuses. I’ve learned some great information from blogs, and some are just entertaining; lol. So, here I go….
My class and I are going to spend some time blogging this semester. Should be informative as well as fun. In fact, on Sat. we are going to have Show-n-Tell in our Electronic resources class. I am really looking forward to these presentations. Should be interesting to learn about new resources. It’s impossible to keep up with everything when you teach or use technology. Technology changes so fast.
And speaking of things changing…I am really pleased to see that the Associated Press has an article about online learning for high school students. You can read the article here. My dissertation research was about the experiences of high school students learning online. I am working on several articles which I hope to submit for publication soon! Online learning for high school students is rapidly becoming mainstream…
My final thought for today, is to encourage all of you who like to learn new “techie” things, to subscribe to the “Tech-Chicks” podcast. It’s awesome! You can search for it in iTunes. Great job ladies!!! I’m really enjoying your fun podcasts and learning a lot.
